Once we got there (Wichita) we were told a HUGE ice storm was supposed to come in. So, our 5 hour training that we had scheduled for that day was put into one hour. Man.... that was intense! But in that time I got my new companion and assigned to my new area. So my trainer's name is Sister Castaneda and she is the sweetest soul EVER!!! Bless her heart that she has to deal with all this mess.
Okay, so the area I was assigned to was the Junction City Area. We are both white-washing the area so it has been interesting. So this place totally reminds me of Ogden, UT. (Maybe it is because OGDEN Kansas is just a short 15 minutes away) What a tender mercy from God that I have a place that feels like home.
There are tons of churches and the Post Army Base (Fort Riley) is just a couple miles out. So there are tons of people who work for them and families with deployed family member. Also, I love how diverse it is here and how everyone loves Jesus.

You're not in Ogden anymore... or are you? Pics are from Kansas but it looks an awful lot like home. :)

But proselyting is such a different thing they really never taught you in the MTC, like how to talk to people the first contact. So that has been a fun experience learning how to tell people about the Gospel in 30 seconds.
But we have seen miracles here and all due to sacrifice and obedience to the Lord. I can't even begin to tell you the schedule we have!! All I can tell you is the district goals are 60 proselyting hours, 15 baptisms this transfer, and so much more!!!... We have been able to reach the goals through sacrifice and obedience to the commandments. The same can happen to y'all if you keep the commandments of the Lord. You don't have to be a missionary to do that, just thought I would put that out there. :)
So yesterday we were going to a appointment and we walked up to this apartment and we didn't recognize the door we were at (the address was put in wrong in the area book). So we just knocked on it and this little girl and mother opened the door. We tell them about Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon & ask of they want to learn more. They said yes and invited us to come into their house. I was flipping out because this is the first time this has happened to me that someone just tells us to come in. I asked Sister Castaneda if this happened often she said no. So, we are sitting in this woman's house and she tells her husband, mother and child to come listen to what we are telling them. It was an out of this world experience. They all wanted to learn more and meet with us again to talk about the Book of Mormon and Jesus Christ. They even said to come over whenever we pleased because we would tell others of Jesus. Background... they are from Ghana and just came to the US and hate how no one talks about Christ. So, it was so cool and beautiful thing to see their faith grow right in front of my eyes.
Something I have learned here on the mission:
"Don't ask God to guide you until you are ready to move your feet"

The weather is straight up bipolar... one minute it's hot and then it's cold... windy, then not windy. The possibilities are endless but yesterday has been the first time I have seen the sun since I got here.
Sorry I'm all over the place but we only have 2 hours to e-mail and I want to tell you EVERY EXPERIENCE!! But I got to go. I LOVE you all!! But not as much as our Heavenly Father!!!

Quote Board... this was from the MTC but sent along this week with a group of pics that Hannah sent.
Here are a few other pics of the area... not from Hannah.
I found these online so I could share them here. Enjoy!

The RED area is Junction City. You can see Fort Riley to the North and Topeka to the far right for reference. Can you spot OGDEN? Oh, and Milford Lake is apparently the LARGEST lake in Kansas.

She apparently sent another batch of pictures, but they did not come through. I received all the captions, just no pictures so hopefully next week we have more photos of Hannah to share.
