Welcome to Kansas!
Well, Hannah has finally arrived in Kansas. But not without a few delays and complications. She departed Salt Lake City on Tuesday, February 20th and made it to Dallas Texas for a connecting flight. In Dallas, their flight was delayed and then delayed again before it was finally cancelled due to snow/ice storms in Kansas. Funny thing is all their luggage went on somehow without them so eight missionaries, four sisters and four elders, got to spend the night in Texas with a whole lot of nothing except the clothes on their backs and any personal items they were able to keep with them on the flight. Most had to check even their carry on bags cause the plane ran out of space.
We finally received notification this evening from the Mission President via a Facebook Group that we have been able to join... Kansas Wichita Missionary Family and Friends.
Here is the picture and post from today.

| Hannah made it safely to Kansas. Here she is with the group of new missionaries and the Mission President and his wife. |
"It has been a whirlwind of a day! The balance of the new missionaries arrived at 12:05 pm, we fed them, and then simplified our training down to 3 hours because of an ice/snow storm hitting Kansas! We wanted them heading back to their areas! What wonderful missionaries they are! They are all now with their trainers and we will have them all back to the mission office in 3 weeks to do the normal training. Welcome to the Kansas Wichita Mission!!" - President McCuistion
We did get the chance to talk to here briefly before she left and again from the hotel in Texas and she is doing good and excited to get to work in Kansas. We are still awaiting details on her first assigned area as well as her trainer. Watch for the next post for more details.
Oh, and here is a random picture she sent us from the airport in Salt Lake City.

Let me leave you with a few final words from Hannah as she prepared to leave the MTC:
So this week has been a short, crazy, hot mess. Let me explain... I LEAVE NEXT WEEK into the field (Tuesday morning). Pretty crazy, right so let me keep it short. I wanna share my highlights. First was the investigators this week have honestly been the most hardest people to ever teach (so far). They also were the ones I loved the most, how cool is that!
Second was my packages I got for valentines day and preparation day. They made my whole day and I loved them so much!!!
Third was going to the temple for the last time for 18 months. Ugh that made me so sad but glad that I can develop more love towards the house of the lord.
Fourth being able to talk to my mom through email for a while. Love you Mama!!!
Lastly, How my testimony has been strengthened in the Lord through the Book of Mormon. I have developed such a love for it's words and God in the life of others. I also can express to Heavenly Father through prayer my love for his gospel
.
I wish I had all the time in the world but I don't. I love you all and can't wait to talk to you next time.
