Make the sacrifice!
Hello all beautiful people!
(that means all of you!)
Oh my!...It has been a week! Literally, Sister Wilkinson and I have worked our bottoms off. We've been knocking doors and talking to every single person we meet on the street! And it's all paid off because we have a lot of people who want to learn more now. We also got to put a couple people on date to be baptized! And how we put them on are just miracles themselves.
We had interviews with President McCustion and what a revelatory experience! But...I can't really explain the rest of my week. It's been a blur😂 but I can express what I've learned with y'all.
What I've learned first is according to our faith the Lord works mighty miracles (2 Nephi 26:13) I know this to be true. If I didn't have faith I couldn't go out everyday declaring repentance and inviting people to come closer unto Christ by reading the Book of Mormon. Now in our day to day lives do we have enough faith? Enough faith to read our scriptures? To help someone out? To express they are loved by us and our Father in Heaven? Do we have enough faith to let go of worldly desires and to give our life to God? Do we have that faith.... No matter how much faith we have (as long as we act) it is sufficient enough for The Lord (Mathew 17:30).
This brings me to the second thing I want to express. The Lord is bound to bless us when we keep his commandments (D&C 8-10). He promises this through the Bible, The Book of Mormon and other modern day revelation from the Prophets and Apostles. He has promised that he will shower heaven upon us as we are obedient. As we strive to be obedient like loving our neighbors, loving our families, keeping our baptismal promises, etc. We then are blessed.
There is a quote I want to share with y'all that ties in these two things together:
"Make the sacrifice. There is no such thing as 'something for nothing' with the Lord..."
- Hartman Rector Jr.
That's all we're asked to do, act by our faith by keeping commandments and be blessed. I know the best time to make a sacrifice this week that's HUGE, is making time to watch General Conference. It's not often we get this face-to-face with ALL the leaders in the church. So make some time and prepare yourselves for this event. You will be blessed and I can promise that if you don't already know for yourself.
Know that I love you all dearly and this is my testimony I want to share with you that I know there is a loving Father in Heaven who watches out for us. I know his son Jesus Christ lives and He paid the price for all of us. I know that The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Restored Church that Jesus Christ established when he was here on this Earth. I know Joseph Smith was called to restore it and to translate the Book of Mormon which is another testimony of Christ. I know these things to be true and that the Spirit bears testimony of what I've said. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Have a great week love you all!!😘🌻
